My foray into the working world began at the tender age of 13, not with a keyboard and mouse, but with lumber and nails. Over seven years, I honed my skills as a carpenter, transitioning from framing to the finesse of finishing carpentry. Yet, life had other plans. A football accident, occurring just a day after my high school graduation, demanded a dramatic pivot. Rehabilitation wasn’t just about learning to walk again; it was about charting a new course for my future.
Continuing in construction as I sought a clearer path, I never lost my childhood wonder for technology. It led me to a local cable company, starting as a temporary worker on the front lines of customer service, assisting with email and web hosting transitions. This was more than a job; it was the spark that ignited my career in telecommunications.
My passion for technology was a beacon through the years, guiding me through the evolution of the industry—from analogue cable TV to the cutting edge of satellite, digital phone, and cellular technologies. In every technical support role, I instinctively looked for ways to enhance our processes, improve customer service, and refine our products. My knack for process improvement and deep understanding of the technology soon had me serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), a role that naturally unfolded into business analysis by 2007.
The past 15-plus years in business analysis have been the most rewarding of my career, filled with new challenges and the thrill of pushing limits further. This role has been a crucible of innovation and problem-solving, where every project is an opportunity to deliver excellence.
